Kids Mahi Nuggets

Makes about 25


  • 400g mahi mahi
  • 4 slices of deep frozen bread or 150g ready made breadcrumbs
  • 30-50g parmesan cheese
  • 75g flour
  • 2 eggs


Grate the parmesan cheese. If using fresh breadcrumbs, break the frozen bread into chunks and chop in food processor until crumbed. Mix breadcrumbs and grated cheese.
Wash and dry fish. Cut into bite sized pieces.

Set out three flat bowls. Place the flour in first bowl. Lightly beat the eggs into the second bowl. Place the breadcrumbs in third bowl.

Using a fork, roll the fish, three or four pieces at a time, in the flour until coated. Place into the egg mixture and roll the fish until covered. Drain off any excess egg, then roll in breadcrumbs.

Once the fish is ready, shallow fry over a  medium heat, turning occasionally, until golden brown on the outside and cooked through in the middle (about 10-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the  nuggets).

Serve with tomato sauce
